In neuroscience the term can be used in several contexts, for example "arcuate nucleus" (a cluster of neurons in the hypothalamus involved in processing signals dealing with hunger, satiety and nutrient availability), or "arcuate fasciculus" (a white-matter fiber tract linking the lateral temporal cortex with the frontal cortex, and which mediates human language)
